Jeddah - Minister of Transport Sulaiman Al-Hamdan recently inaugurated the new executive office (VIP lounge) at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah.

He later went on an inspection tour of the new executive office's facilities during which he was briefed on the amenities which the place provide and the working mechanism that are in place, and the assurance that the best of services were provided to the airport clients. 

During the tour, the minister described the Saudi young men working at the office as exemplary role models of the Kingdom.

Abduellah Alrasheed, director of the executive offices at the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), explained that the new executive office of KAIA is designed with the latest specifications and standards to reach customer satisfaction and expectations. 

This reflects a major shift which is taking place in the Kingdom's airports, all with the close follow-up of the transport minister and and Tareq Abduljabbar, assistant to GACA president for airports. 

The new executive office is located on a total area exceeding 4,000 sqm with a seating capacity of 500 passengers. It includes a passenger seating area, a commercial space, restaurants, a meeting room, a business center and a prayer area for men and women.

The GACA is currently working on the development of modernization of the executive offices in each of King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) and Hail Airport, while work continues on implementing executive office projects in the remaining airports. The work will be done in stages that include the creation of new buildings and the development and modernization of existing buildings.
