The representation of the Moroccan National office of Tourism in Vienna will organise on Sept. 27-Nov. 10, a public exhibition to promote Morocco's tourist and cultural assets.
Entitled "Morocco's Multiple Facets", the exhibition will include several cultural, artistic and culinary activities, aiming to increasingly promote the Moroccan tourist product in Austria, said a release of the Moroccan Embassy in Vienna.
This event, organised in partnership with "WEIN ENERGY HAUS" company, envisages receiving some 30,000 visitors.
The inauguration of this large-scale event was chaired by the Moroccan Ambassador to Austria, Omar Zniber, and the chairman of "WIEN ENERGY HAUS" and was marked by the organisation of a collective Iftar.
During the opening ceremony, Zniber pointed out the important position which the sector of tourism occupies in Morocco, stressing that the strategy adopted by the Moroccan authorities aims at making the Kingdom a first choice tourist destination.
This strategy, whose success is already confirmed through the realisation of investments of great importance, aims at equipping the Kingdom with internationally known tourist zones, in particular in the balnear sector which interests the Austrian market, he continued.
The programme of this event comprises in particular exhibition of arts, books on Morocco in German and photographs of Moroccan fashion top-models highlighting both tradition and modernity.
Morocco and Austria have recently ratified the non-double taxation and tax evasion convention, signed by the two countries in Feb. 2002 in Rabat.
The Moroccan Ambassador stressed that the Kingdom attaches great importance to the implementation of this convention which will complete the legal framework binding the two countries, particularly in terms of encouraging investment and trade exchange, had said a release of the Moroccan Embassy in Vienna.
