Amman - Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Riyad Abu Karaki on Sunday discussed with a Kuwaiti delegation scopes of cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two countries in parliamentary fields.
During a meeting with the delegation which represented office of the Ministry of State for National Assembly Affairs , the minister said that the Hashemite leadership issued the first election law in 1928, adding the Kingdom has seen 5 legislative councils and 16 parliaments since the establishment of the Kingdom in 1946.
Abu Karaki hailed Kuwait's parliamentary experience, adding the ministry will place all its capabilities and services at the service of the Kuwaiti side to boost cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities.
Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of State for National Assembly Affairs who headed the Kuwaiti delegation Ahmad Burrak Al Haifi, said the visit comes within cooperation between the two countries as well as the exchange of expertise of parliamentary fields. He also voiced hope to promote relations with Jordan for the interest of both countries.
