ArabFinance: Middle East Glass Manufacturing Co (MEGM) announced it has reached a final agreement with the insurance company over the settlement of a sum of EGP 71 million as a compensation for the fire accident that took place at one of the companys production lines in 2019, according to a statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.

The company has received tranches of the compensation and the remaining sum is currently being paid out after the final settlement this month.

MEGM is an Egypt-based company primarily engaged in the manufacture, sale, and export of glass containers in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The companys product solutions include food jars, bottles, juice, carbonated bottles, and pharma, among others.
