Egypt’s Ministry of Health signed an agreement with Mercedes-Benz Vans to supply Egypt with 2,510 ambulances and mobile medical clinics at a cost of over EGP 3 billion, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Khaled Megahed, said in a statement.

Megahed added that the deal is part of the national project for rural development and the presidential initiative of Haya Karima (A Decent Life).

Under the deal, 1,510 ambulances will be supplied starting from October until mid-2022, and 1,000 ambulances and mobile medical clinics will be supplied by the beginning of 2023.
