MUSCAT -- Highlighting its dedication to developing and fostering higher levels of employee engagement, McDonald's has announced that it is organising the Stars of McDonald's talent competition for crew and managers to create a first choice employment experience in the Middle East and Africa region.

The contest will provide an opportunity for crew and managers to showcase their singing, dancing and musical skills.

The most talented seven performers from the region will be invited by McDonald's Middle East and Africa to represent their market at the "Stars of McDonald's" finale, to be held in Dubai during October.

The final event will be attended by senior leadership representatives from McDonald's Corporation, Coca-Cola Company and the media.

The grand, second and third prizes are $10,000, $5,000 and $2,000 respectively. McDonald's partner, Coca-Cola, will be participating through the "Happiness Awards" initiative, a unique concept aimed at ensuring engagement across all levels in the organisation. This part of the competition will allow employees who cannot dance, sing or play a musical instrument, to also participate, support, encourage and motivate their team members by "capturing happiness moments" on camera.

"At McDonald's, people look for a job and find a career. Hence, our focus on talent management and building a strong talent base is at the core of what we do. We are committed to creating 'a first choice employment experience' for our people and as such we always find creative ways to engage and connect with our people," said Mohamad Noah, HR Business Partner, McDonald's Middle East & Africa region.

McDonald's is recognised worldwide as the 7th Best Company for Developing Leaders, through proactive training and development programs and many other initiatives, providing real opportunities for career growth from entry level to the highest levels in the corporation.
