Baghdad - The President of the Republic Fuad Masum said on Sunday that the nature of the terrorism moving and thinking overpass the military sphere and requires joint and active international action to defeat it.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic said that the President of the Republic Fuad Masum received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Arab League delegation, which includes First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah and the Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil al-Arabi and his deputy, Ahmed Ben Helli, and Foreign Minister of Mauritania Ahmed Walad Teguedi.
Masum stressed during the meeting on "the importance of concerting efforts by everyone in order to counter the threat of terrorism and crimes targeting everyone, especially the nature of the moving and thinking of terrorist groups, in the forefront of the IS, that overpass the military field, and this requires active and common international action to end this scourge, in addition to the work in order to weaken the sources of terrorism in the intellectual, educational, and economic areas.
For his part, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah noted to the importance of Arab solidarity with Iraq, which is facing challenges, stressing that the security and stability of Iraq is the security and stability of all Arab countries and the region in general.
