Beirut - Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Saturday appreciated Iran's endeavors to help solve Syrian crisis through peaceful means.
In a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi, Suleiman thanked Iran for constant support for Lebanon national unity and stability.
Referring to recent measures of Lebanon to prevent security flaws and ethnic conflict, Suleiman said vigilance and prudence of Lebanese wise leaders and political groups have guaranteed stability of the country.
In the meantime, Roknabadi and Suleiman discussed latest regional developments and bilateral relations.
Roknabadi, outlining Iran's diplomatic efforts for settlement of Syrian crisis through diplomatic channels, said Syrian true dissidents are ready for talks with Syrian government and the hope has grown for settlement of the crisis more than before.
He said that Iran is endeavoring to check spread of Syrian crisis to the neighboring states.
He added that Iran's policy is based on supporting Lebanese stability and national unity.
