Plaza Athne Bangkok, one of Asia's leading hotels, was recently added to the Le Royal Meridien portfolio which consists of Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort, Le Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club, Le Royal Meridien Baan Taling Ngam and Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach and Spa Resort.
This property marks further success for the Le Meridien brand which has already enjoyed a strong presence in Thailand since 1986.
Le Meridien Group signed the management agreement with TCC Property Management Company Ltd. for Hotel Plaza Athne Bangkok earlier this month.
Michael Sagild, managing director, Asia-Pacific, Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts, will be present at the Arabian Travel Market 2004 (ATM) to represent all the Le Meridien Thai properties and to meet with travel agents, tour operators from the Middle East region.
Plaza Athne Bangkok, a Royal Meridien Hotel, as it will be now known enjoys a strong historical association with the Thai Royal family going back to 1935.
At that time it was the residence of Her Royal Highness Princess Valaya Alongkor Kromluang Petchburi Rachasirindhorn.
