BEIJING, Oct 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to China, Faisal Al-Ghies, delivered Tuesday, on behalf of Arab diplomats in Beijing, a speech at the inauguration of a parade for Arab-Chinese friendship to celebrate the Arab-Chinese Silk Road Project.

The Silk Road parade will take four months of driving to tour 16 Arab countries including Kuwait.

Silk Road trips, initiated relations between Chinese and Arab cultures in the first century. Kuwait's ambassador explained in his speech the cultural impact of silk trade between Chinese and Arab nations, noting that the four-month-long Silk Road Project would aim at increasing trade and culture exchange between Arab nations and China.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from the China-Arab Friendship Association (CAFA) in addition to a number of Arab ambassadors in Bejing.
