KUWAIT, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Sea Club was invited by the Arab Sailing Union to take part in the sailing and water skiing competitions it is co-organizing with the Egyptian Sailing and Water Skiing Union in Sharm El-Sheikh between 8-13 February.

Club sailing and rowing committee chairman Khaled Al-Fouderi told KUNA on Saturday that the participation would depend on the decision and recommendation of the Public Authority for Sports since the state is still in official mourning after the passing of the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The written invitation was communicated to the authority whose Board Chairman and Director General Sheikh Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is to decide the issue. If the club gets green light, three players are already nominated for the games.

Kuwait is one of 11 members of the Arab Sailing Union that was founded in Cairo in 1989.
