KUWAIT: The Kuwait Petroleum Company(KPC) has formulated a plan to set up the fourth oil refinery project. The project, which is part of the government's agenda will be referred to the National Assembly soon. The cost of the project is estimated at approximately $12 billion, reported Al-Watan.

The new refinery will have the capacity of generating 6,15,000 barrels of oil per day. Meanwhile, the KPC indicated that it plans to increase production to 1,400,000 barrels per day within the years 2012-2013. The company also plans to put in concerted efforts to boost oil production, refining and drilling oil in Kuwait.
