KUWAIT, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- Under the auspices of South Korean Ambassador Song Keun-ho, Kuwait Chamber Philharmonia (KCP) celebrated its 15th anniversary Friday evening with a concert of classical music performed by two renowned Korean musicians.
In his welcoming message, the ambassador hoped that the audience enjoyed the performance by his two countrywomen playing on the flute and piano and that cultural exchange between Korea and Kuwait would be actively promoted.
On their part, KPC founders Cezary Owerkowicz and Witold Wnuk welcomed, with pride, the audience attending the concert at the Radisson SAS Hashemi Grand Ballroom.
They hoped this would be yet another successful music concert season.
"In 2007 we celebrate 15 years of establishing continuous classical music concerts by KPC. On our stage we are proud to host more than 120 events performed by world class soloists, chamber ensembles, including choirs and orchestras from many continents and countries," they said.
The performance, marking the beginning of the new concert season for KCP, featured Jo A-ra on the flute and Kyeong Yeon-seo on the Piano. This is the fourth time that these two young women entertained music lovers in Kuwait with classical pieces.
The rich program included pieces by Bach, Mozart, Verdi, Strauss, Chopin, and Tchaikovsky, among others.
The young South Korean musicians were also accompanied by soprano Anna Karadimitriva, soprano Verica Grmusa, pianist Harriet Bushman, and special guest Preslav Petkov on the clarinet.
