ALEXANDRIA (Egypt), Feb 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait is very keen on participating in Egyptian cultural activities, said head of exhibition affairs at Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) Abdulrahman Al-Bisher on Sunday.
On the sidelines of the fifth Alexandria Book Fair, Al-Bisher told KUNA that NCCAL's participation came as a means to boost Arab cooperation in the cultural and literary field, adding that the book fair presented a great chance for Arab intellectuals to exchange points of views regarding their work.
On the fair, the Kuwaiti official said that Alam Al-Ma'rifa (World of Knowledge) series of publications were the most sought out and drew many people from all walks of life with its rich information and content.
He indicated the fair also offered other valuable magazines and books, saying that Alexandria's fair was truly a successful exhibition.
When asked about goals of NCCAL, Al-Bisher revealed that these were to promote, study, and develop all cultural, artistic, and literary activities in Kuwait as well as the Arab world.
NCCAL, alongside other Kuwaiti organizations such as the Ministry of Information and Kuwait University's Scientific Publishing Council, were taking part in the fair.
A seminar on constitutional reforms in Egypt and activities by the French cultural center would be showcased on the sidelines of the book fair.
