Cairo –  KarmSolar on Sunday announced it has signed an agreement with Cairo3A For Poultry to build a solar power plant at a cost of $90 million.

Upon this deal, KarmSolar will provide 100% of the energy required to operate the first and largest poultry project in the Bahariya Oasis executed by Cairo3A, according to a statement.

This deal is expected to double KarmSolar’s solar power projects portfolio to reach 80 megawatts by the end of 2019, the company indicated.

Amr Al Sawaf, chairman of KarmSolar, said that his company is likely to become the biggest solar power supplier in the private sector on the back of its accelerated expansion in Egypt.
