Amman -- Jordan and Kazakhstan have signed here today a tourism cooperation program and a work plan to execute it during 2009-2011.

The program, which was signed by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Maha Al Khatib and her Kazakh counterpart, aims to encourage and increase tourism investments and movements between the two countries.

Khatib told Petra that the program was promising and would include forums, and joint meetings to shed light on tourism potentials in both countries.

On his part, the Kazakh minister said that his country was interested in opening a new tourism gate for Kazakh tourists in Jordan, thanks for its tourism attractions and nature.
