Joramco, the Amman-based maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider and the engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), recently welcomed local media representatives for a tour around their facilities.

Motivated by the company’s desire to increase public awareness of their industry, the tour took place in their expansive site at Queen Alia Airport where their “technologically advanced” services are carried out, according to a Joramco statement.

Members of the management team updated journalists on the recent developments at the company and their plans for expansion to keep up with the demand and a fast-moving industry.

The media representatives also visited Joramco Academy, the internationally accredited vocational training academy where the “next generation of Jordanian aircraft maintenance engineers are born”, according to the statement.

The academy offers a range of courses, from short technical courses to a full four-year Aircraft Maintenance Expert Programme. The academy focuses on teaching advanced skills for the “continuously evolving and demanding aviation sector”, said the statement.

Joramco CEO Fraser Currie said in the statement: “As a world-class independent MRO, and the technical aviation service partner of choice in the region, we strive to offer the most advanced and efficient solutions for the wide range of international airlines on our client list. We will continue our sustainable growth by investing in our skilled workforce”.

“Through Joramco Academy, we are attracting talented local engineers and refining their technical abilities with transferrable skills, which are in high demand, thereby enhancing their attractiveness in the job market,” Currie added.
