OPEC member Iraq has prepared a list of major projects that will be funded through an oil-for-projects agreement signed with China in 2019, its Planning Minister was quoted on Wednesday as saying.

The list include the multi-billion-dollar Grand Faw Port in South Iraq as well as housing complexes, roads and bridges in various parts of the Arab country and power and water projects, Nour Al-Dulaimi said, quoted by the official news agency INA.

He said the agreement with China, signed in Beijing in Sept 2019, has been temporarily suspended due to the spread of Coronavirus and the political crisis in Iraq.

"We expect the agreement to be restarted after those problems are over," he said, noting that it stipulates the supply of 100,000 barrels per day of Iraqi oil to Chinese companies in exchange for execution of projects in Iraq.
