Mubasher: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani that his country is ready to help Qatar in World Cup 2022’s preparations.

In the telephone conversation, Rouhani called for closer economic and political relations between the two nations.

Tehran can help Doha in completing the construction projects related to the World Cup games such as stadiums and other facilities.

Moreover, Al Thani praised Iran for supporting Qatar, especially after a rift with the world’s biggest supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) since last summer.

Since June 2017, Qatar has been facing outflows of foreign customers' deposits after four Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia cut their diplomatic and trade ties with the gas-rich state, accusing Qatar of financing terrorism. Doha forcefully denies the charges.
