Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) exported first consignment of CKD parts of Peugeot Pars to Egypt to assemble it brand with TU5 engines.
Manager of the project for establishment of Peugeot Pars production line in Egypt Kianoush Pourmojib said that the first consignment of CKD parts and chassis, decorative parts, and full packed painting materials was exported from IKCO abroad.
He added that another consignment will be shipped to Egypt next week.
The project manager also noted that the production line of Peugeot Pars will become operational in the country by the end of February.
Final price of the product will be determined according to the market condition, he said.
The auto production line will be established with the capacity of 5,000 cars per annum, he added.
Pointing to the use of local manpower in assembling this brand of IKCO cars, he noted that design of chassis, painting and decorative parts has been finalized and Iranian engineers supervise the production process.
He said the Iranian product will be assembled and distributed by Egyptian AAV Company.
