Cairo – Integrated Diagnostics Holdings (IDH) announced that its subsidiary Biolab has been chosen as the preferred bidder by Jordan's Airport International Group (AIG), operating Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), to offer testing services for travellers.

Biolab will operate testing stations at the airport to provide PCR testing primarily for COVID-19 to travellers arriving in Jordan, in addition to other diagnostics tests, including rapid PCR testing for COVID-19 for departing passengers as well as more generic diagnostics tests, according to a statement on Wednesday.

The deal has become effective since 1 August 2021.

IDH has been listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) since May 2015 with a secondary listing on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) since May 2021.

Biolab, founded in 2011 and acquired by IDH in 2011, currently operates 20 branches in Jordan.

During the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, the company reported net profits of EGP 339 million, up from EGP 102.5 million in Q1-20.
