DOHA: The Human Resources Management System (HRMS)- a newly developed programme aligned with the recently enacted Qatar Human Resources Law No 8 of 2009 is now ready to be implemented in all government entities, Yusuf Lanewala, Chief Executive Officer of Malomatia, a local IT service provider which developed the system, told The Peninsula yesterday.
Malomatia collaborated with Egypt-based Raya International and Oracle to develop the new system which addresses the disparities that earlier existed among various public institutions. In particular it will promote uniformity in all functions concerning human resources management in all public entities.
In line with the HRMS implementation, a seminar workshop was conducted at the Four Seasons Hotel yesterday for officials from Human Resources, Personnel, Finance and IT departments of nearly 60 government entities.
"The new system is all set to be implemented, and stakeholders and officials from government entities were invited for them to understand what the system, which incorporates all the changes contained in the mandate, will do," said Lanewala.
The customised system would be of great help to government sections to seamlessly adopt the new Qatari HR Law.
"The key benefit of HRMS would be systems concerning human resources in the government would be uniform, which is one of the main objectives of the new law," said Lanewala, adding.
"IT in government is rapidly emerging, thanks to the efforts of the nation's visionary leadership that has supported this area as a priority initiative and we are proud to be part of this progress by providing our services," said Yousef Al Naama, Deputy CEO, malomatia.
