Saudi Arabia - Saudi German Health, a leading healthcare group in the Mena region, has inaugurated its latest hospital in Makkah under the patronage and presence of Prince Badr bin Sultan Al Saud, Deputy Governor of Makkah Province.

The facility is fitted with the latest medical technologies to provide locals and visitors from around the world including millions of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, with high-quality medical care.

A total of 100 outpatient clinics, 300 beds, a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the largest dialysis unit centre in Makkah with 30 rooms, and cutting-edge surgery rooms are all features of the new hospital. Two of the important procedures that the emergency room in the hospital offers are STEMI pathway and stroke pathway.

Well-equipped ER

Furthermore, 25 emergency beds are available, making it one of the largest and well-equipped ERs in the area. Additionally, the integrated Command Centre in the hospital ensures optimal organisation of resources and enhances the efficiency of response activities in cases of emergency or disaster. The hospital is notable for its distinctive external and interior architecture, both of which are aimed at fostering a comforting atmosphere for both patients and staff.

Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, President and Vice Chairman of Saudi German Health, said: “The opening of the Saudi German Hospital in Makkah reflects our dedication to Vision 2030 and increases access to high-quality healthcare for KSA citizens. It is in line with our commitment to enhance the health of individuals across Saudi Arabia and the region by expanding our world-class care to communities who are in need of it.”

The Saudi German Hospital, Makkah, is part of Batterjee Medical City, which is also home to the largest private medical college in the region and a staff housing project in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. Additionally, Saudi German Health has partnered with Umm Al-Qura University, one of the prominent universities in the region, for cross collaboration between two industry leaders. This partnership further enables exchange of knowledge, which strengthens the interdependence of the medical sector and private healthcare institutions.
