Abu Dhabi, 2 Aug, 2009 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) received here today members of Al Ain Culture and Chess Club (ACCC) which recently won the first Asian Club Chess championship and the Asian Chess Federation (AFC) titles.
Sheikh Hazza praised the achievements made by the ACCC, as a direct result to the ADSC's strategy and support to all sport activities. "The sport in the UAE is reaping fruits of the great care and unlimited support," Sheikh Hazza said. He thanked the Club members and managers and praised the keen efforts made by Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan, Chairman of the AFC and Head of the ACCC to promote the game in the UAE for further achievements.Sheikh Hazza urged the champions to continue their successful run for achievements and wished them success in future competitions.
Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan lauded the unlimited support and continuous encouragement by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
