MUSCAT -- Gulf International Pipe Industry LLC (GIPI) has announced the successful production of 24-inch diameter carbon steel line pipes at its integrated pipe manufacturing facility in Sohar Industrial Estate. This achievement occurred simultaneously during the final field audit carried out on GIPI by the American Petroleum Institute (API), the world's governing regulatory and standardisation authority on oil and natural gas industry.

"This achievement adds another significant milestone to GIPI and places the Sultanate of Oman amongst the first country in the entire GCC and MENA area to produce 24" ERW high pressure pipes," commented Hamdan al Shaqsy, GIPI CEO.
