MUSCAT -- Khimji Ramdas hosted the maiden launch of five-speed wall mounted split air-conditioners from Fujitsu General Ltd (FGL) Japan, the manufacturers of "General" air-conditioners' in a glittering ceremony at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel last week. Oman is the first country in the GCC to unveil this unique and innovative product, marking yet another milestone for the Khimji Ramdas -- General partnership.
The launch ceremony combined audio-visual and live elements, in an exciting demonstration of the benefits and strengths of the new product. J Yanagimoto, Managing Director of Fujitsu General noted, "In this year 2011, we have developed the most powerful AC again. This 5-speed wall mounted split AC, has a wide range of fan speeds which means more efficient cooling and more comfort for our customers. We believe that we will always be ahead of our competition by virtue of our advanced technical know-how."
'Airflow' or quite simply Air movement inside a conditioned space is one of the key factors that contribute to 'comfort'. FGL's foray this time focuses on this key aspect. While a normal AC provides a 3-speed Fan, FGL has been able to cover a wider spectrum of customer needs in comfort, by providing a 5-speed fan selection. This has increased the airflow by a good 30 per cent, which quite simply means a much better comfort level for its users.
The airflow reaches up to 15 metres, gives a better cooling effect in to unwieldy longish rooms. Besides being environment friendly, this new model also incorporates additional heat exchangers, which means even better cooling performance, while consuming lesser energy, giving users handsome savings in electricity bills.
Highlighting their long-standing ties with FGL, Hritik Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas, said "Khimji Ramdas Air-Conditioning Division has been associated with Fujitsu General for over 30 years now. We have achieved a strong and unique position in the Oman market by building upon the trust that our customers and dealers repose in us. Today, General is a household name in every nook and corner of this country by virtue of its superlative performance in harsh climatic conditions."
N S Vijaya Kumar, CEO, Infrastructure Group, Khimji Ramdas said, "Known for reliability and durability "General" air conditioners have been a hallmark of quality across the Middle-East; especially in Oman which has an enviable infrastructure for sales and after sales service. KR has played a vital role in establishing the "General" brand in Oman and we value this partnership very highly.'
Known for its quality and performance, "General ACs" offers a wide array of models that suit different needs of the customer. This also includes the latest VRF Systems besides the standard products.
"While Fujitsu General Japan has been instrumental in developing innovative technologies for the air conditioning industry, at the ground level after-sales service has been the focus of KR's AC Division. Our large fleet of Mobile Service Centres has helped us render quick and efficient service, which is the backbone for this technology intensive sector", V Jayachandran, GM, Air-Conditioning division, remarked. The new "General 5-speed wall mounted split air conditioners are available at all Bait Al Ahlam outlets of Khimji Ramdas AC Division across Oman.
