FNC Speaker visits Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Bait Al Zubair Museum, Oman

MUSCAT, 5th May, 2014 (WAM) -- Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC) and his accompanying delegation have visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Wilayat (district) of Bawshar.

The visit comes within an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

During the visit, Al Murr was briefed on the history and building phases of the mosque. He was also got familiarised on the Omani and Islamic architectural designs and styles that combines many of Oman and the Islamic architecture.

Al Murr and his accompanying delegation also visited Bait Al Zubair Museum in Muscat. He toured all the museum's departments and sections and was briefed on its components and heritage collection which represent the Omani ancient weapons, jewelry, ornaments, cosmetics and clothes that are used in various parts in the Sultanate of Oman.

He was also got a briefed explanation on parts of the contemporary history during the reign of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman.

The accompanying delegation included a number of FNC delegation.
