Etihad Airways is recruiting South African professionals who are interested in taking their career high into the sky.

South Africans who are interested to join Etihad Airways cabin crew can try their luck on recruitment day.

The airline is keen on taking in new cabin crew, food and beverage managers, inflight chefs.

Interested parties may register in advance by visiting its website www.etihad.com/careers/cabin.

The recruitment day will take place in Cape Town on May 6. Its recruitment team will provide comprehensive information about living in Abu Dhabi and working with guests at 30,000 feet above sea level.

Successful candidates will undergo a seven-week training program at Etihad Airways' state-of-the-art Training Academy in Abu Dhabi.

Nearly 243 South Africans currently work for Etihad Airways, including 107 core staff, 120 cabin crew and 16 pilots.

Cabin crew are all based in the vibrant and cosmopolitan city of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Etihad Airways launched its daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Johannesburg in December 2005.
