TUNIS - National Constituent Assembly (NCA) members who signed the motion of no confidence in Minister of Tourism Amel Karboul and Minister in charge of Security Ridha Sfar were "wrong," said Deputy from Nidaa Tounes Khemaies Ksila, adding that this would not have been taken place.

"The government, which came from a broad consensus, is tasked with preparing for the upcoming elections," he indicated, regretting the "disruption" of its activity by the NCA.

On his part, leader in Ennahdha movement Ameur Larayedh told TAP his party will vote against the motion of no confidence in the two ministers, adding that the remarks delivered this morning by Ridha Sfar were to a certain respect clear.

However, he noted, the movement will never abandon its positions of principle including the support to the Palestinian cause.

Head of the Democratic Alliance bloc Mohamed Hamdi said the group will reject the motion of no confidence, saying the hearing of both ministers aims to monitor the government's action and control its performance.

Deputy from Al-Joumhouri party, Iyed Dahmani ruled out the possibility that his party votes for the motion of no confidence, adding that the final decision will be taken after the hearing of Amel Karboul.

131 votes are needed to withhold confidence in government members.
