Saudi Arabia - Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon) said it has secured key accreditation certificate from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) in the four-star category for its quality and institutional excellence.
The EFQM model is a globally recognized management framework that supports organizations in managing change and improving performance.
It is based on data supported by industry experts in line with organisations' goals and priorities, and employees' aspirations, in a bid to realize effective and sustainable results and institutional excellence.
The certificate was received by Bandar bin Ibrahim Al Khorayef, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Modon has received an accreditation certificate from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), for the four-star category, for applying quality and institutional excellence concepts.
Modon said this could be achieved only because of the efforts of its national workforce that has performed professionally over an entire year.
This EU accreditation fulfils one of our key objectives, to upgrade public performance indicators on scientific foundations and achieve the aspirations of its partners to create a sustainable and integrated model of investment environment, as part of its strategy to empower industry and contribute to increasing local production," said a company spokesman.
Since 2001, Modon has been developing fully serviced industrial lands. The Saudi authority currently supervises 36 industrial cities across the kingdom with more than 5,000 productive and under-construction factories.
"Modon has also set the goal of applying a management business model consistent with global best practices in the field of quality and institutional excellence in a way that can contribute to enhancing the confidence of local and international partners in the Kingdom's industrial investment environment, in line with the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy," he added.
