ArabFinance: Egypt’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) provided loans worth EGP 1.1 billion for developments in Qena over the past six years, Ahram Gate reported.

The financing benefited 55,000 micro and small projects that created about 72,000 job opportunities.

The MSMEDA carried out several infrastructure projects at a total funding of EGP 167.2 million, providing 2.6 million vacancies for irregular workers.

Egypt recently announced EGP 600 million worth of investment to enhance the efficiency of the electricity network in Qena.
