The iconic Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2), Dubai's floating hotel, will host an exclusive afternoon tea on the bow of the ship during the Dubai Food Festival.

Passengers will be led through the ship's former passageways and out to the very front of the vessel (a space otherwise not accessible to the general public) before savouring a selection of quintessential delicacies.

Set against the backdrop of Dubai’s enchanting sunset horizon, the afternoon tea features a choice of canapes such as Beef Wellington, quiche and Scotch eggs; classic finger rolls and crustless sandwiches including smoked salmon and horseradish, roast chicken with pommery mustard, roast beef and gherkin, cream cheese and cucumber, and egg mayonnaise with watercress.

A decadent sweet selection includes plain and raisin melt-in-the-mouth scones with clotted cream and jam; macarons; chocolate tarts; lemon drizzle cake; salted caramel choux; baked cheesecake; and more. There is also a choice of 10 premium tea flavours and assorted coffees and the option to upgrade the experience to a selection of sparkling and gin-based cocktails.

Available from 3pm – 5pm on March 1 and 2 and March 8 and 9. The afternoon tea is limited to eight passengers per sitting and is priced at Dh450 ($122.4) per person. - TradeArabia News Service
