Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has launched a its own gaming centre to tap into the region’s AED 1.8 billion gaming industry, which is expected to reach $5 billion by 2025.

DMCC, located in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), said it is currently home to 50 gaming companies, including developers and producers, as well as e-sports teams and tournament organisers, and is seeking to attract more.

Companies registered under the DMCC Gaming Centre will have access to the wider e-sports community through regular events and tournaments, as well as industry support from YaLLa Esports, the free zone said.

“Members will [also] have the opportunity to join gaming specific acceleration and market entry programmes through our ecosystem partner, AstroLabs, a leading tech ecosystem builder in the MENA region,” DMCC said in a statement.
