Dubai celebrates the 3rd birthday of Shaikha Fatma Bint Mansour in a majestic ceremony at Modhesh World

Dubai, Jun 14th, 2009 (WAM): Shaikha Fatma bint Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the granddaughter of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, celebrated her 3rd birthday with revelry at Modhesh World. The DSF Office has been organizing a festive and colossal event for the last 3 years to mark this joyous occasion.

Shaikha Fatima is the daughter of Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Shaikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Ladies Club and President of Dubai Womens Establishment.

'We are proud and excited to celebrate the birthday of Shaikha Fatma. Modhesh World is an offering for children and she is the first child of the UAE. We thank the offices of His Highness to make Modhesh World the centre stage of her celebrations and we wish to hold many such events in the future,' said Laila Suhail, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Shopping Festival Office. Modhesh World is a key attraction of the summer extravaganza organized by the office.

Families of every nationality were present and excited to celebrate the birthday of the little princess. Crowds thronged the Modhesh Theatre which was the beginning point of the celebration. An array of welcoming activities including performers and celebration music waited to greet and wish the beloved Princess. As the car entered and the Royal entourage stepped out, excitement was all over as the well wishers tried to catch a glimpse of her.

The evening began with a Nasha performance by kids from the Kalba Primary School. The song in Arabic meant that they were happy on this night celebrating the birthday of the princess. Noora Naser, an eight-year old performer said, "We have rehearsed for many days with our teachers Mona and Hind to perform this number. This is a special gift from us just for her." The Great Sea Adventure was staged for Her Highness and it was a heartwarming sight to see children clap and jig to the music.

The Giant Play room played host to her birthday cake cutting. A larger than life cake awaited the princess with even more stunning performances and celebrations. At the end of the mammoth celebrations, Shaikha Fatma inaugurated her very own line of jewelry as part of Modhesh Collection of jewllery.

Over 5000 gifts were distributed and not one child visiting Modhesh World went without a gift. The huge cake was also distributed among the visitors.
