One-month permit to cost 100 riyals with provision for extension up to three months
Manama Qatar’s Interior Ministry has issued a revised list of 188 professions that will allow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) residents to get visa on arrival at Doha airport.
The visa validity will be for one month, according to information posted on the Ministry website.
The professionals can get visas provided their GCC residency visa is valid for at least six months, that their passport has at least six months’ validity and that they have a return ticket.
The visa can be obtained on paying a fee of 100 Qatari riyals (Dh100.88) through credit card, Qatari daily The Peninsula reported yesterday.
However, the visa can be extended for another three months by paying an extension fee of 100 riyals for each additional month.
Apart from doctors, engineers, and businessmen, the revised list includes journalists, businesswomen, military officers, medical equipment technicians, opticians, broadcasters, marketing agents, bankers, quality monitors, teachers and lawyers among others.
