Doha Insurance chief executive officer Bassam Hussein (pictured) has been elected to the technical committee of Arab War Risks Insurance Syndicate (AWRIS) based in Bahrain.

Hussein is the only person from Qatar elected to the nine-member technical committee of AWRIS.

The syndicate determines the risks of war and other political coverage rate in the region through the different covers that are offered to its member companies in the Arab world. It provides adequate coverage and fast service in the event of war and other political risks to its member companies.

Hussein said, "AWRIS is the most successful Arab insurance gathering. I am very pleased to be part of this highly respectable body."
