MUSCAT -- Sayyid Said bin Ibrahim al Busaidi, Deputy Governor of Muscat received here yesterday Captain Kugi Manabi, Commander of the Third Marine Division of the Japanese Marine Forces, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Sultanate. Talks between Sayyid Said and the Japanese guests touched on relations between the Sultanate and Japan and issues of common concern.
During the meeting, Sayyid Said gave a briefing about the Governorate of Muscat, its role in serving the society and its historical, tourist and cultural landmarks. The Japanese commander expressed his admiration for the landmarks of the Governorate of Muscat and its achievements during the present prosperous reign. He valued the role of the Sultanate's government, led by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, in promoting domestic development and cementing co-operation with other countries.
