BAGHDAD: Sadrist Trend affiliate to al-Ahrar bloc MP Ameer al-Kinani denied today the statements attributed to him for suspending economic and trade relations with Iran, according to a statement issued by Sadrist Trend office.

The statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, quoted Kinani that he "did not state these words to any media organ", confirming that "the Sadrist trend believes solving issues with neighboring countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran,  through dialogue and diplomacy, not by suspension of relations".

It fully denied these statements.

Media reports quoted Kinani today as demanding the Iraqi government to suspend its diplomatic and trade relations with Iran, till it stops its bombardment for Kurdistan region borders.
