Nestlé Egypt decided to suspend its production operations in its factory in 6th of Octiber City, AlMal reported.

The company has closed the factory after detecting COVID-19 cases among the workers.

Nestlé Egypt has coordinated with the ministry of Health and the Preventive Medicine as well as all concerned authorities.

The food and beverage company said it is in ongoing communication with the ministry to apply full sanitization and sterilization in the factory.

Nestlé Egypt noted that production will resume as soon as possible.

On April 14th, Lecico Egypt announced a temporarily closure of a factory in Alexandria, after two cases were confirmed positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Until April 26th, Egypt has reported a total of 4,534 COVID-19 cases.
