New Adnoc rates effective from Sunday
Dubai Cooking gas cylinders will cost 12 per cent less in northern emirates, including Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman, from Sunday, Adnoc distribution announced yesterday.
“The price of 25lbs (11kg) cooking gas cylinder will drop by Dh6 from Sunday. The price will fall from Dh49 to Dh43,” Adnoc distribution said in a statement.
The price drop comes in line with international decline in the price of gas, the statement said. The prices are subject to change based on international prices, it noted.
Adnoc said they recently introduced distribution of new gas cylinders through petrol stations in northern emirates. Out of the total 66 petrol stations in these five emirates, new gas cylinders are available for sale at 23 stations.
It was introduced in two phases. The first was implemented in January across 11 stations in three emirates — Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain. In the second phase, implemented few days ago, 12 stations in Sharjah and Fujairah started offering the service.
