Comoros President hails UAE's support

AJMAN, Sep. 2nd, 2010: His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, UAE Supreme Council member and ruler of Ajman has received President of the Comoros Ahmed Sambi Abdullah and members of the accompanying delegation.

The meeting at Qasr Al-Zaher Palace was attended by Ajman Crown Prince H.H Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, other sheikhs and senior officials.

During the meeting, President Sambi Abdullah briefed Sheikh Humaid on the ongoing process of development in the Comoros.

The Comoros President hailed the relations with the UAE which he said realize common interests and feature a high level of agreement. He also praised the UAE for the support extended to the people of the Comoros to build its modern state and play role as an Arab and Muslim country.

He further hailed the UAE's balanced foreign policy, its openness to the rest of the world and interest in Arab and Muslim issues.

Sambi Abdullah also greeted the UAE's leadership for being able to earn the country a high international status alongside the advanced nations.

The Comoros President invited Ajman Ruler and Crown Prince to visit his country.

Later Sheikh Humaid hosted an iftar banquet in honor of the visiting president. Then all the guests preformed the maghreb (sunset) prayer.
