The tenth annual Directors' Meeting of Choueifat / SABIS School Network was recently held in Beyt Meri Lebanon. The meeting, co-chaired by the network's President Leila Charles Saad and Director General Ralph Bistany, focused on reviewing and assessing the past academic year, planning future strategies and restating the SABIS philosophy within the network. During the four-day conference, objectives for the next academic year were stated and operational challenges were discussed.

The most recent SABIS technological accomplishments were demonstrated, including Choueifat's latest improvements in computerized testing, a new and improved management system for the schools and plans for further expansion and development of the Web-Parent Community. Developmental prospects were also shared with the group involved with the new schools planned for September 6, such as the International School of Choueifat in Manama - Bahrain, Erbil - N Iraq, the PPP project whereby SABIS will take control of 6 government schools in Abu Dhabi, as well as the prospective opening of Choueifat's first school in China in 2007. A highlight of the conference was the Alumni Gala dinner, held at BIEL, Beirut, and attended by Lebanese Prime Minister Mr Fouad Seniora as well as many dignitaries.
