The Director of the Surveying and Land Registration at the Ministry of Works and Housing, Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, issued directives to officials at the directorate to provide marine information and maps with international levels.
During a visit to the Marine Survey Department in Mina Salman, Shaikh Salman asked the officials to publish digital maps to direct the ships in the seas using the computers and GPS.
Shaikh Salman praised the achievements of the department and stressed the importance of developing and training the technical and administrative staff.
The Acting Head of the Directorate, Dr Manaf Yousif Hamza, briefed Shaikh Salman on the goals and responsibilities of the department. Shaikh Salman was accompanied by the Acting Head of the Registration and Follow-up Directorate, Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, and the Acting Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
