Oman's government ​said ⁠on Thursday it ‌has completed the ​acquisition of SalamAir, ​aiming to strengthen ​the airline's role in ⁠the economy and boost growth ​in tourism ‌and related industries.

Transport, ⁠Communications ⁠and Information Technology Minister ​said ‌the ⁠move will enhance integration with Oman Air, reduce overlap in destination networks and ‌improve operational efficiency, while both ⁠carriers will ​continue to operate ​as independent brands.
