Marine and inland fisheries in Algeria's Jijel province showed significant production growth over the last few years, APS reported on Wednesday (December 23rd).
The 2009 total thus far reported is 8,330 tonnes, double that of 2004. Local fisheries director Mohamed Zouaoui attributed the production increase to the addition of 156 new fishing units and boat renovations.
