MUSCAT: Asyad Express, the leading Muscat-based courier and logistics company, has joined forces with Oman veteran racer Hamed al Wahaibi and will provide support for the Omani’s spectacular return to international rallying.

The 53-year-old’s programme gets underway at the Jordan Rally, round two of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship, on May 27th-29th.

“I am delighted to be part of this new exciting programme of events with the vital support of Asyad Express,” said Al Wahaibi, who will compete in the three-day Jordan Rally with the experienced Austrian co-driver Ilka Minor at the wheel of a Motortune-run Skoda Fabia 1.6. Further support comes from WMS, Sandan and Pirelli.

Al Wahaibi added: “It is fantastic to be racing in association with an Omani company on my return to international rallying for the first time in nearly 10 years. This is a partnership that I cherish and a brand that I trust with a distinguished name to be proud of.”
