Al-Khafji Joint Operations Awards $5Mn Contract To Atos Origin

Atos Origin Middle East (AOME) announced on 4 March that it had been awarded a $5.3mn SAP Oil and Gas project by Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO). SAP is an enterprise resource planning system. According to AOME, the SAP project includes the design, build, training and deployment of a state of the art IS-Oil downstream and extended logistics solution, as well as upgrading to the latest mySAP ERP software. KJO is a strategic joint venture between Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) and Saudi Aramco Gulf Operations Company (AGOC) which operates in the offshore Partitioned (Neutral) Zone. The Phase 1 field development plan for Al-Khafji oilfield is aimed at maintaining current output there at 300,000 b/d (MEES, 28 August 2006).
