Workshop discusses obstacles facing working women

BEIRUT: The Association of Lebanese Industrialists organized a workshop on Monday in Beirut to discuss obstacles facing working women in Lebanon.The workshop was held in collaboration with the International Labor Organization and was attended by representatives of the government, of employers and of employees. The gathered mentioned four international labor agreements Lebanon did not sign concerning maternity, workers with family responsibilities, working at home and work in the informal sector. They also urged the government to form a national committee to follow up on the discussed issues. – The Daily Star
