MUSCAT -- Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Health Minister, has issued a ministerial decision to set up a committee to follow up the implementation of the Traffic Safety Symposium's recommendations.
The committee will study the ambulance services, primary medical care on the road, post injury treatment in the emergency and rehabilitation departments as well as the resulting social implications and effects.
As per the decision, the committee will be chaired by Dr Salim bin Said al Wahaibi, Director of Environment and Vocational Health Department at the Directorate-General of Health Affairs.
The committee includes members representing the Ministries of Health, Social Development, Sports Affairs and Defence, besides Sultan Qaboos University and Royal Oman Police.
