The Business Year (TBY) has announced the appointment of Grace Cameron as the Country Editor for its first edition on Kuwait. TBY has initiated research in partnership with the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) for The Business Year: Kuwait 2016 publication, the first annual TBY publication on Kuwait's economy.

With a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh, Grace joined TBY in July 2014 as Country Editor for TBY's Abu Dhabi edition, The Business Year: Abu Dhabi 2015 produced in association with the UAE Ministry of Economy.

In Kuwait, she will be responsible for overseeing the editorial content of the project, interviewing leading players in the Kuwaiti economy from both the private and public sectors. This year's focuses will be on Kuwait's increasingly important role worldwide as a leading contributor of humanitarian aid, the fundamental drivers of Kuwait's long-term economic diversification efforts as pressure comes from falling oil prices, the budding entrepreneurial spirit among Kuwaitis, the privatization of the Kuwait stock exchange, new FDI laws, and several megaproject plans in the pipeline such as the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Center, the largest museums complex in the world.

Commenting on her new project, Grace explained; "We are really proud to document the economic developments here for our first year, directly from leading figures' points of view. We look forward to publishing our first Kuwait edition in 2016 and hope it will contribute to the efforts being made by KDIPA to promote Kuwait investment opportunities abroad and attract more targeted FDI and knowledge transfer into the country."

The Business Year: Kuwait 2016 will feature interviews with key decision makers from both public and private sectors in Kuwait across all industries. Featuring chapters on diplomacy, economy, finance, energy, real estate & construction, transport & logistics, health, education, agriculture & food, and tourism & retail, the issue will be a comprehensive English-language publication on the economy of Kuwait, identifying investment opportunities and introducing Kuwaiti business leaders to the world. With a circulation of 97,700 printed copies, the publication will be distributed extensively both locally, regionally, and worldwide.
